“Do you remember the Oscar winning movie “The Pianist” when the main character Spielmann is playing on an imaginary piano without touching the keys, but obviously hearing the sounds? Reshef’s performance reminded me of this. It seemed as if Reshef was absorbing and letting every sound go through him-that he played not only with his hands but also with his whole body… Reshef played the concerto in a way we are not at all used to hearing. A piece that is often played heavy he played very lightly, almost on one breath. The public reacted very positively to the unusual sound and didn’t let Reshef leave the stage for a long time, demanding an encore. Reshef graciously obliged…”
